![]() ![]() In a way, dating women was the only way to really know for sure, which is indeed an experiment, but I was terrified to think of it this way. ![]() ![]() Having never actually dated a woman, I wondered whether it was possible that I wasn’t bisexual and that I had just developed romantic feelings for one woman. My first thought was for Fabiola: Would she feel hurt or upset? If Aneesa broke up with Ben for her, would she feel used? As a bisexual woman who came out in her 20s, I didn’t doubt whether Aneesa’s feelings were genuine, but I wondered whether Fabiola would know that they were.īiphobia, both in person and onscreen, had taught me that my lack of experience with women, coupled with me labeling myself as a bisexual, could signal to other people that I was looking for someone to “experiment” with or that I was otherwise not looking for a serious relationship. The fact that she kissed someone who actually admired her the way she deserved would have been the cherry on top if I wasn’t so anxious. But by this point, I was so ready for her to break up with Ben that I wasn’t concerned about the consequences that she would incur if he found out. Half the time it’s because one of the characters is in a relationship, as Aneesa is at the time she kisses Fabiola. At first, I didn’t fully understand why I held my breath during that scene and during every awkward encounter between Aneesa and Fabiola thereafter. I can’t say that any of the hijinks and plot twists of this season went down easy, but that bathroom kiss somehow gave me more pause than Ben having feces surgically removed from his colon. In a flurry of emotion and a subsequent swirl of upbeat synth-pop music, Aneesa and Fabiola share a plot-altering kiss. In the wake of that realization, she escapes to the bathroom where she encounters Fabiola, who showers her with all the praise and recognition that she had been yearning for. She realizes in the second episode that she and Ben don’t have much in common and that he’s still hung up on Devi. They seemed to hit it off when they met, and maybe her coming to the school's event will push them closer together.Early in the third season of Never Have I Ever, Ben (Jaren Lewison) and Aneesa’s relationship unravels fairly quickly. Kamala evades an arranged marriage proposal by dashing out of the house and to the school dance, where she meets English teacher Manish Kulkarni (Utkarsh Ambudkar). The two could make a great couple, especially in comparison to the guys she dated before. Trent (Benjamin Norris), one of Paxton's friends, compliments Eleanor on her performance in the play, calling her a "star" and "transcendent." Sparks seemed to fly when he asks her to dance, and, despite calling her the wrong name, she dances with him. Her cousin Kamala (Richa Moorjani) and Eleanor may have new relationships bloom this season.
